Prohibited
wastes
The Solid Waste Management Facility may not receive
the following types of solid wastes:

Free liquids.
-
(1) Bulk or non containerized liquid waste, unless:
(a) The waste is household waste; or
(b) The waste is leachate or gas condensate derived from that landfill;
or
-
(2) Containers holding liquid waste, unless:
(a) The container is a small container similar in size to that normally
found in household waste;
(b) The container is designed to hold liquids for use other than
storage; or
(c) The waste is household waste.

Regulated hazardous wastes
-
Solid wastes, residues, or soils containing more than 1.0 ppb (parts
per billion) of dioxins
-
Solid wastes, residues, or soils containing 50.0 ppm (parts per million)
or more of PCB's
-
Sewage sludge or sludges that have not been dewatered
-
Pesticide containers that have not been triple rinsed and crushed Drums
that are not empty, properly cleaned and opened.
-
Waste oil that has not been adequately adsorbed in the course of a site
cleanup.

Contaminated soil unless approved by the Director of the Department
of Environmental Quality in accordance with the requirements of 9VAC20-80-700.
