Requests and Concerns

The City of Bristol, Virginia will suspend the recycling of plastic and paper products effective March 1, 2019 until a local recycling vendor can be found to accept the material.

Cardboard and aluminum/metal cans will continue to be accepted at our convenience stations, provided that residents do not put plastics, paper, trash or other materials into the collection bin. Residents are encouraged to reduce consumption of paper and plastic materials and to reuse items as appropriate. The City will continue searching for opportunities to reinstate the paper and plastics recycling program.
