The City of Bristol Department of Public Works will be maintaining a regularly updated information feed to which residents can subscribe to receive updates and links to published news articles regarding the solid waste facility.
The City of Bristol also would like to engage residents to help us better identify the areas of concern regarding the issues at the solid waste facility/landfill. We welcome constructive feedback that will help the city provide for greater quality of life for all of us that call Bristol home.
The City of Bristol Virginia Public Works Department operates a quarry landfill open to the public five days a week which accepts household and commercial waste, tires, brush, yard waste, and e-waste.
The current Bristol Landfill began operation in 1998. The landfill currently receives about 175,000 tons of waste per year.
